Generating Quotes
Turn a confirmed BOQ into a professional, branded PDF and send it to your client — all in a few clicks.
Before you generate
A quote can only be generated from a confirmed BOQ. This is by design — it makes sure you've reviewed every line item and signed off before anything goes to a client.
If your BOQ isn't confirmed yet, head to the project, review the items, and hit Confirm.
Generating a quote
Once the BOQ is confirmed, click Generate Quote. Quotably creates a professional PDF that includes:
- Your business name and logo
- Client details and project address
- Full itemised breakdown — descriptions, quantities, units, and prices
- GST calculation and totals
- Quote number and date
Quote numbering
Every quote gets a unique, sequential number in the format QT-YYYY-NNN — for example, QT-2026-001.
Numbers are tracked per organisation, so your first quote of the year always starts clean. No overlaps, no duplicates.
Preview and send
Before sending, you can preview the PDF exactly as your client will see it. Check the numbers, make sure everything looks right.
When you're happy, send it directly from Quotably. The PDF is stored securely in your account, so you can always come back and view or re-download it.
Tracking your quotes
All your quotes are tracked in the Quotes view. See at a glance:
- Which quotes have been sent
- Which ones are waiting for a response
- Which jobs were accepted or rejected
- Total pipeline value and win rates
It's a simple way to keep on top of where your work is coming from and how your quoting is tracking.
